So I watched Limitless this past week and damn my friends were right on the money. It just felt like it tried too hard and I didn't care for the story overall. These movies both had the same premise: The person takes this new drug that allows them to access the hidden parts of their brain and eventually use 100% of it. The film did not come anywhere close to my expectations. While I really liked Limitless I thought it was a bit short of being a ‘great’ movie. Limitless just honestly bored me. Lucy is way too far fetched and science fictiony to our abilities if we could access more of our brain.I thought Lucy was awesome. There were still things that could have been done better like Bradley Cooper’s voice acting.

The acting in Limitless was not bad. I thought Limitless had some cool shots in it. Min-sik Choi who starred in the original Oldboy played Mr. Jang and was arguably the best part of a mediocre film. I found Limitless actually pretty interesting with a good performance from Bradley Cooper. However Bradley Cooper’s self-narrated lines are pretty shitty.
Slowly, as it reaches 100% we see that she becomes nigh omnipotent.
Edie Mora (Bradley Cooper) used his powers to improve himself and attempted to improve the world around him. The dialogue was nothing spectacular but it did have several memorable lines.“I don’t have delusions of grandeur, I have an actual recipe for grandeur.”-Eddie MoraThe only category in which Lucy wins is acting.
The final scene indicates she becomes sort of an omniscient, and omnipresent AI (sort of like God).
A new drug gives someone superpowers….but beware of the side effects.
Bradley Cooper also put on his best performance However, Lucy is no slouch. Lucy to me was an incredibly unsatisfying movie and it was very cringeworthy at some points.

Limitless on the other hand exceeded my expectations which were fairly low because I am not a big fan of Bradley Cooper. Limitless is more grounded in reality, Lucy definitely is not. 2:58.
