u2 the best of 1980 to 1990

I'm happy to own it! (This is my opinion about chinese U2 releases).

It mostly contains the group's hit singles from the 1980s but also mixes in some live staples as well as one new recording, "Sweetest Thing". If it had been compiled from analogue masters and cut in an all analogue chain, sure...but this ain't no Bernie Grundman / Classic Records release. Buy yourself a "good cartridge" and enjoy this amazing pressing. What a fantastic collection of their most emotional tracks.

Absolutely no problems with my copy! For the life of me I can't fathom why a digitally remastered collection would command such a high price. In April 1999, a companion video (featuring music videos and live footage) was released.

The Best Of 1980-1990 Almost certainly an unoffical release, all Chinese U2 CD are counterfeit due not exist a logical sequencial production, and the cover & CD are taken from other countries offical releases (UK & USA); if the packaging is chinese manufactured the CD inside always has different pictures and a Matrix that not matches in any code to other releases. The album was followed by another compilation, The Best of 1990–2000, in 2002. No distortion, no loudness war, crystal clear sound and DEFINITELY better than the CD edition!

You must be joking! The Best of 1980–1990 is the first greatest hits compilation by Irish rock band U2, released in November 1998.
