Later in the church, Sasha and Bob are sat together during Abrahams speech. During the aftermath of the battle involving Alexandria, the Hilltop, and the Kingdom, who were fighting The Saviors and The Scavengers, Maggie and Jesus track down a zombified Sasha.
Abraham approaches her and asks her if she is doing it because she wants to die, and Sasha smiles, saying, "No". Then, the group openly engage in combat against the alerted Saviors, killing about 20 of them overall. After the deaths of his wife Donna and his son Ben, Allen proves hostile to both Sasha and her brother. She objects to Maggie's plan of going to look for Glenn and the prison bus, but after Bob decides to go with Maggie, she follows. While they differ in personality, Sasha and her brother both share the same boiled rage in loss. He then goes out to find Carol, but tells Sasha and the others to stay back in the community. Tyreese believes in forgiveness, and tries to tell Sasha that she can be the woman she was prior to the apocalypse like he is, but Sasha disproves the notion, believing the violence, death and double-crossing can never bring her back to her compassionate side. As Negan is about to kill Abraham, he signals a peace sign to a devastated Sasha. As they wait for Negan to emerge, Rosita opens up to Sasha, revealing she learned everything she knows about bombs, cars, knots etc from men she dated.
After the escape from Terminus, they are seen happily playing a game called 'the good out of the bad', sharing kisses and laughs. One of the Saviors opens a door behind Abraham and sees them and instantly slashes at Abraham.
Sasha says Jesus drew her a map of the compound’s exterior. When Rick, Sasha is seen readying a vehicle with Tyreese to go on a supply run to At Big Spot, Sasha lays out the group's plan to get in and get out. Jesus gives her Abraham's brake light necklace. When Sasha commits suicide to reanimate as a walker and attack Negan he laments on her demise as her potential for serving at his side was now wasted. She breaks down and tells them they can't help her and feels guilty for Noah's death.
Sasha helps bury her corpse. Rosita agrees. When they enter Woodbury after rejection at the prison, Sasha shares guard duty with her brother and makes fun of his poor shooting skills compared to Sasha's accurate hits. On his review for the episode "Sasha's character arc and Martin-Green's performance in "After pursuing a relationship with Abraham, he is killed by She's hit rock bottom. The group then find a barn to shelter in from a storm, where Sasha sits alone in the corner.
Abraham prepares to go after the other attackers but Sasha stops him saying there could be more of them. When The Governor massacres his own militia and some civilians, Sasha and her brother work together in making sure the survivors leave Woodbury and safely make their way to the prison, offering a larger community now. Sasha and Maggie wake up in the middle of the night and see fires blazing outside. Bob reveals the walker got him on his bandage and the three cheer in relief. In the flashback, Sasha and Maggie continue to stare out at the field. She constantly wonders at his optimistic attitude and happy outlook on the bleak situation they are in. Sasha asks Jesus to find where Negan lives, but also tells him to keep it between them and not tell Maggie, which they both agree they don't like. They leave for their doomed journey to the Hilltop. Being tough and talented with firearms, she acts as the primary sharpshooter of Rick's band of survivors. Music blares from a parked car. Later during Rick's fight with Pete, she is back in the tower, sniping walkers again. Once The Governor storms the prison and causes everyone to separate, Sasha does not focus on finding Tyreese, fearing him to be dead. Sasha agrees, admitting guilt for her previous statement about Maggie. After Bob is dumped outside, she rushes to him, enlisting Tara and others to carry him inside. By the time the Saviors arrive at Alexandria, Sasha has died and reanimated as a walker. Sasha ultimately wins this fight and points her weapon at Gabriel, who is lying on the floor with Sasha keeping him down with her foot. Rosita agrees and hands Sasha a rifle. In a flashback, Sasha and Maggie continue to sit in a field, watching the sunrise. Martin-Green was pregnant during filming of the
"Sasha is killed off in the seventh season finale. She then talks to Michonne as the group are walking, talking about how she could take on the walkers following them and how she is not like her brother.
She begs Eugene to bring her a weapon – a knife, gun or razor blade – so she can kill herself before Negan uses her against their friends. Abraham seems disappointed. Sasha shoots an incoming walker, revealing to the officers that Rick has people covering him. They tell them to get out the truck and hand over everything they have, because it now belongs to As Sasha, Abraham and Daryl are driving back to Alexandria in the fuel truck, they are stopped by a group of armed men on motorcycles. When they are shot at from atop a hill, Abraham covers them while she and Rick dispatch the walkers in their way.
