Without giving away spoilers, I loved how there are snippets of the original film included in this movie, instantly bringing me back to my childhood :) So I was so excited when I ordered this film BRAND NEW from amazon to complete my collection. But I don't think this new film really could have come much closer than it has done to holding up against such comparisons and it's certainly managed to fix a patch over the less enchanting Jurassic Park 2 & 3 sequels - it looks absolutely amazing, with advances in film making and CGI having come so far since the first film, the park has never looked better, the dinosaurs have never looked more lifelike and the film manages to give a true sense of scale to the island and it's inhabitants.
